Plant Care

• Light: Prefers bright, indirect light. It can tolerate some direct sunlight, which helps enhance the vibrant color of the leaves, but too much direct sun may cause sunburn.
• Water: Water when the soil is completely dry. Be careful not to overwater, as jade plants are prone to root rot. Ensure the pot has good drainage.
• Temperature: Thrives in temperatures between 60-75°F (16-24°C). Avoid cold drafts and temperatures below 50°F (10°C).
• Humidity: Tolerates low humidity and dry indoor air. No special humidity requirements.
• Soil: Well-draining, cactus or succulent potting mix is ideal. Add perlite or sand for extra drainage if needed.
• Fertilizing: Feed lightly with a balanced, diluted fertilizer once a month during the growing season (spring and summer). Cut back on feeding in the fall and winter.
• Pruning: Remove any dead or damaged leaves to maintain a clean appearance. You can also trim the plant to control its size.
• Pests: Can attract mealybugs or aphids. Treat with insecticidal soap if needed.
• Toxicity: Toxic to pets if ingested, so keep out of reach of animals.
