Plant Care

• Light: Full sun to partial shade. It thrives in bright light and will bloom more prolifically with plenty of sunlight.
• Water: Water regularly, keeping the soil evenly moist but not soggy. Allow the top 1-2 inches of soil to dry out between waterings.
• Temperature: Prefers temperatures between 60-75°F (16-24°C). Avoid temperatures below 50°F (10°C) and cold drafts.
• Humidity: Tolerates average humidity but benefits from occasional misting or a humidity tray in dry conditions.
• Soil: Well-draining, fertile potting mix. A mix designed for vegetables or flowering plants works well.
• Fertilizing: Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring to summer).
• Pruning: Prune to remove dead or yellowing leaves and encourage new growth. Pinching back the tips can promote bushier growth.
• Pests: Can attract aphids or whiteflies. Treat with insecticidal soap if needed.
• Toxicity: The fruit is toxic if ingested, so keep away from pets and children.
