Plant Care

• Light: Prefers bright, indirect light but can also tolerate low light. It’s great for spaces with minimal sunlight.
• Water: Water when the top 1-2 inches of soil are dry. ZZ plants are drought-tolerant and can survive extended periods without water. Avoid overwatering to prevent root rot.
• Temperature: Thrives in temperatures between 65-75°F (18-24°C). Protect from cold drafts and temperatures below 45°F (7°C).
• Humidity: Tolerates average humidity levels but prefers higher humidity. It’s ideal for dry indoor environments.
• Soil: Well-draining potting mix. A cactus or succulent mix works well.
• Fertilizing: Feed once a month during the growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced, diluted fertilizer. Reduce feeding in the winter.
• Pruning: ZZ plants grow slowly and require little pruning. Remove any yellowing or dead leaves to maintain appearance.
• Pests: Generally pest-resistant but can attract mealybugs or spider mites. Treat with insecticidal soap if necessary.
• Toxicity: Toxic to pets if ingested, so keep away from animals.
